Earlier this week, our very own CTO, Philippe Saint-Just, was interviewed by Mobile Entertainment (ME), along with other thought-leaders in the mobile community. This is the second time ParkJockey has been featured here, the first being given the crown of App of the Day.
The topic of this was, ‘Apple’s introduction of iOS8’. Here were his thoughts:
“The updates to notifications, widgets and lock screen apps will increase the fluidity of information and reduce the number of steps required to take action – ultimately, translating to better user engagement.
Since some of these features already exist on Android, this will allow app developers to align the products more closely on iOS and Android platforms. We also look very positively on the introduction of Swift. By reducing the learning curve for developers and allowing them to focus less on low level programming and more on feature development, we expect to see drops in costs and shorter development cycles.”
This Bank Holiday weekend, ParkJockey was featured in the Sunday & Daily Express, which is said to be one of the nations most read newspapers with a combined circulation of 1 million people. Not to mention the article was published on the Express online website which has around 10 million monthly unique visitors.
The article describes ParkJockey as being ‘right up your street’ – something that would be perfect for you, ideally when you are getting frustrated looking for that illusive parking space! To read the full article – click here.
Yesterday marked the start of the inaugural event, The RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
This annual gathering of ‘flower-istas’ parking themselves amongst the beauty of carefully curated gardens; marks a beautiful week weather wise for London – creating a rather fitting ambiance for such a blooming brilliant event!
Thousands of people flood towards to the Royal Borough of Chelsea & Kensington just for the Chelsea Flower Show every year, so if you are driving I advise you don’t wilt searching for parking (I’ve seen how busy it is) and book with ParkJockey. We have some car parks located a short walk from the event, which can be found & booked here.

A step in a positive direction for ParkJockey, as we added the Apple ‘Passbook’ functionality live on our latest app update.
The Passbook has notably changed the way in which people store their passes, tickets and coupons, in a more organised fashion. When a ParkJockey customer books their parking with an iOS device they will have the option to add it to their ‘Passbook,’ ensuring they stay organised and never waste time and money particularly on ink to print, not mention fiddling around trying to find their email confirmation! Easy peasy!
Check out how easy it is to use in the demo video below…
The ParkJockey Team woke up this morning feeling pretty chuffed with themselves (below should paint a thousand pictures)!
After all the hard work recently, the reward has come… being featured as one of the “Best New Apps” on the iTunes UK App Store. Not to mention the great company we were alongside, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Tumblr & SnapChat and being the only ‘Navigation’ catergorised app in this section.
Since the media hype this week, ParkJockey has been reaping the rewards. Notably today, where we were given the accolade of ‘App of the Day’ according to Mobile Entertainment, a website that report the latest news, views and analysis from the fast-moving mobile content industry, especially apps!
We gave ourselves a pat on the back and looked forward, this is just the beginning of our ambition! Check out the article HERE!
The time has finally arrived! After the initial launch of ParkJockey London where the team worked endless hours to get the show on the road, we proud to announce that we have now become an official member of the British Parking Association (BPA).
The 720 members of the BPA embrace manufacturers, car park operators, local authorities, health authorities, airports, railways, shopping centres, bailiffs and consultants – to that we can now add Mobile App Technology to the list – with ParkJockey becoming one of the first!
So what does becoming a member of the BPA mean? It is denoted that the BPA are the largest professional association in Europe and the recognised authority on parking. Their main aim is to represent and promote the best interests of the parking profession, and also influence those who are involved within this growing industry. Therefore, it can only mean ParkJockey is soon to be the word on the lips of many drivers, especially as they tire endlessly searching for parking – ParkJockey is going to be their first option and revolutionise the way you park, complimenting our business innovation award.
Strive for greatness, this is only the beginning . . . Watch this space!
